Beridius handles financial data, so we keep collection minimal, encrypted and under your control.

Who we are

Beridius (“we”, “us”) provides the Beridius financial intelligence platform and is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide how and why your personal data is processed, and we are responsible for keeping it safe.

Personal data we collect and why

  • Account data — name, email address and login credentials, used to create and secure your account (legal basis: performance of our contract with you).
  • Business and profile details — company name, industry, currency and goals, used to tailor dashboards and reports (contract).
  • Financial data you provide or connect — bank and accounting transactions, uploaded statements and invoices, and manual entries, used to produce your dashboards, audits and AI answers (contract; and your explicit consent for connecting a financial account).
  • Support messages — the content of your queries, used to help you (contract and legitimate interests).
  • Usage and telemetry, device identifiers, IP address — used for security, fraud and abuse prevention, diagnostics and improving the product (legitimate interests; legal obligation where security incidents must be recorded).
  • Marketing preferences — used only where you have opted in (consent), and you can withdraw at any time.

We do not use your data to train AI models unless you explicitly opt in, and you can turn that permission off at any time.

Who we share data with

  • Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, storage, AI model providers and support tooling, acting on our instructions.
  • Merchant of Record — Paddle.com, for selling our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Financial data providers — only the accounting or open banking provider you choose to connect, and only after you give explicit consent.
  • Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where necessary.
  • Authorities — where we are required to disclose by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with technical safeguards such as encryption in transit and at rest.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded statements and extracted transactions can be deleted by you at any time from your workspace. After account closure we delete or anonymise personal data, other than records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit and at rest, encryption of connection credentials with per-record keys, row-level access controls so only you can read your data, private document storage, and least-privilege access for our staff.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can export or erase your data from within the app, or ask us to do it. We respond within one month. You may also complain to your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your workspace preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Any analytics cookies are limited to product improvement and can be managed through your browser settings.

Contact

For any privacy request, contact Beridius support from within the app. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
